Wow... some very good news.. Just logged into VJ today after some down time due to workload.

1) Edp333: Congrats Ed and Meryll.... and good luck. I am very happy for you both.. Enjoy..

2) Divine: Same for you Kathryn... We all will be in the same boat soon again... :D Congrats and good luck

3) UTR: Congrats to you too... I am very happy for you too.

4) Deb: I see Mike's interview date is 06/02.. Hang in there. My best wishes and prayers..

As for our AOS update, there isn't much, as you can probably make out from my sig below. But I think its not that bad since you are with your SO but nonetheless its still a wait :). Anyhow, we applied for my wife's AOS, got the biometrics done and are now waiting for EAD and hopefully GC will arrive soon after.

Good Luck to all waiting... and once again congratulations....

Regards,

Pkewl

  • 2 weeks later...

Hoping to hear good news from Deb (kelly1290). tomorrow is interview day for their K3!! Good luck!

Thanks urge and edp!!! I'm very happy of course. I was a little late coming into this thread, I guess I'll be a wee bit behind meeting up with you guys in the AOS forum. Omgosh I really need ya'll there! I have done very little research on that one!

EDP YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY i'm so happy she's finally coming home to you!

Kathryn,

I am sooooooooo happy for you! I am sorry, however, that Lanre had to endure such a long, grueling interview. God I hope that doesn't happen to Mike. As you know, he applied for 2 visitor's visas, but I don't think there is much that they can grill him on, since in Lagos, the only questions asked were who I was and what did he do for a living, and in Abuja, they again asked who I was and what he did for a living, and was I present. Neither one lasted more than 2-3 minutes, so maybe we will be okay. Anyway, finally it is over after all these years for you 2. Now you can start your family home together.

Congratulations!!!!!

Love,

Deb

Hi,

I am in the US with K3 now. And the problem is we don"t really know what to do. Actually, we called USCIS 3 times and we heard 3 different stories from them.

We applied for SSN, but they told us that we need first a job permit and then we can apply for the SSN.

I want to write the form with we filled us. and please tell us if it is wrong:

G-325a x 4

I-864

I-485

I-765

my questions are:

1) I read in the instructions that I need the form i-693 for medical examinations. and I did the medical examinations for my k3-Visa and I show the US-Embassy. But I have no medical check form or anything else to attach with files now!

what should I do?

2) Should I send the I-765 for the job permit seprate to the USCIS?

3) what is actually the correct address for sending my files for AOS and EAD? I could not find any correct infos about that!

PLEASE help us when you did this process before. thank you very very much for your help.

Hi Amoro,

Yes, you filled out the right forms.

1)You don't need to redo the medical since the one you did for the K3 is less than 1 year old. The medical reports were in the envelope that you handed over at the POE on arrival, so USCIS already has it. You just need to get your vaccination records together, go to a US Civil Surgeon (find a civil surgeon near you by going here )and take the vaccination record in to get a I693a vaccination supplement which you will send in with your I485

2) send the I765 in the same packet as everything else. Remember to include a second set of supporting docs as needed for it though.

3)Send the whole packet here:

USCIS

P.O. Box 805887

Chicago, IL 60680-4120

Cheers!
