still waiting here.. thanks guys :thumbs: I still have a few things I can do (get a job at USCIS just to approve my case and others still waiting -- not too hard since their requirements are so low, lol), get a lawyer (do you guys think hiring a lawyer now would be a good idea?)

I-130 STAGE 1 : 533 days - 1 year 6 months (4/16/2007 to 9/22/2008)

Transferred to local office based on "security checks" : 11/27/2007
wrote hundreds of letters - received letter from FBI Records Management Chief stating no security checks
local office interview : 2/21/2008 - brought my parents too (result : you will get approval within 2-3 weeks)
5/2/2008 - (lawsuit) Writ of Mandamus - OFFICIAL DATE (7/29/2008)
9/22/2008 - CALL AND EMAIL COPY OF APPROVAL NOTICE FROM LAWYER

Interview Date : 12/9/2013, originally 12/3, stupid lawyer filled out her dad's passport number wrong..

My computer is dead at home and I don't have much time at work to write. I just wanted to let everyone know that my husband's visa was granted yesterday. It was a grueling interview lasting over 30 minutes. They had a record of every visa he ever applied for, what he said in the interviews, what he said on the applications and they grilled him on every detail as well as the details of our relationship, my children, our marriage etc.

He picks up his visa on Tuesday (supposedly.. we'll see)

Gogo, if i were you, i'd get a lawyer, what else do you have to lose?

Actually Ed's wife should be flying to the states today too. So our group is moving forward.

05/14/2007 - Sent I-129F for K3 to Chicago Lockbox via USPS Express Mail

10/22/2007 - I129F APPROVED (161 days), I130 APPROVED (188 days)

11/08/2007 - I129F received at NVC, embassy case number generated.

11/13/2007 - I129F forwarded to embassy.

11/18/2007 - 129F petition received at embassy

01/09/2008 - finally, DOS gives me the interview date, April 16, 2007 (ouch)

01/23/2008 - never got packet 4, emailed embassy

04/11/2008 - picked up packet 4, did medical

04/14/2008 - medical report pickup, no problems

04/16/2008 - interview date- APPROVED!!!!!

04/18/2008 - both of us are home at last, POE JFK!

Our friend informed me that Meryll got on the PAL flight this morning our time. I am impatiently waiting for her call from the POE airport.

I am sooooooooo happy for you! I am sorry, however, that Lanre had to endure such a long, grueling interview. God I hope that doesn't happen to Mike. As you know, he applied for 2 visitor's visas, but I don't think there is much that they can grill him on, since in Lagos, the only questions asked were who I was and what did he do for a living, and in Abuja, they again asked who I was and what he did for a living, and was I present. Neither one lasted more than 2-3 minutes, so maybe we will be okay. Anyway, finally it is over after all these years for you 2. Now you can start your family home together.
