Thanks PKewl! How is your wife enjoying living in our country? I wish you many years of wedded bliss!

Deb

Hi Deb..

My wife likes it here and is enjoying. Since we are still waiting for her AOS/EAD, she feels kinda bored at times but we both are just very happy and grateful to be living together.

Hang in there... You are almost there. Good Luck.

Regards.

Thanks PKewl! I have taken vacation this week to prepare for his interview and have everything ready and together, so when I go back to work next week, there won't be anything to do but wait for the interview. My husband is working on the police certificate and medical, so we will be prepared for D-day...or should I say V-day, LOL

Good luck on getting ur AOS/EAD. I am so happy for both of you!

Deb

For an update on our AR due to document verification, the Manila Embassy is finally going to resubmit the document to the National Statistics Organization (NSO). On April 2, Grace at the consulate office, changed her story to our verfication was not sent till the last week of February and she would send a request to the person in charge of verifications.

Anyway, on April 7th I received word from Senator Durbin's office that the Embassy is resending the document for verification. I am hoping they put a pink sticker on the document this time for quicker processing.

For those not familiar with our case, the document verification fee was paid and confirmed on January 7th. The interview was on February 6th. The process is full of bugs or poorly run, whichever choice of words you prefer.

Great edp sounds like there's some progress being made on your case. I can't pretend to actually understand the embassy you are dealing with. These procedures are so different from my husband's embassy. You are in my thoughts and prayers!

Our interview is coming up in 2 days. I flew in Thursday night to be with her for the interview. I brought the I134 and supporting docs with me (4 years of tax transcripts and employer letter and recent pay stubs). She never received packet 4, so the medical wasn't done since there was no appt letter. Embassy finally replied to my email saying that she could pick it up in person a week before the interview. Since I was going to fly down anyway, we went together on Friday instead of her going by herself two days earlier. Anyways, we spent 4 hours at the embassy (in the same queue as hundreds of people who had visa interviews (IR, CR, K3, K1, DV, work visas, etc.). I made the mistake of only going a half hour before the time they specified in the email, which put us in the back of the loong line to be serviced. I almost lost it, I mean how long does it take to print 6 pieces of paper? Finally, got the packet and went straight for the medical. It all done, and we picked up the report this morning.

I have my 2007 return as well (just in case they ask for it). We are using the versions of DS157 and DS158 I got online (the fillable PDFs) instead of hand filling the ones that came in packet 4. We are using copies EVAF DS156 that I generated back in December for her instead of hand filing the ones in packet 4.

Wish us luck for Wednesday. I will post here as soon as we know something. Also, I plan on showing up and getting in line at 6AM on Wednesday. I would rather wait outside for 2 extra hours when I know no names are being called then to wait for 4 hours inside waiting anxiously everytime the PA system comes on.

Ed, it is certainly taking longer than I had expected for you. I will keep you in my thoughts. I figured that this thread would be pretty much empty and dead by now. But there are still some us waiting.

Congrats to all those that got their visas approved, and managed to re-unite with their SO.

Divine, I know you are waiting for the interview next week. Best of luck with that, you too will be in my thoughts.

Thank you gogo and pkewl. gogo, I hope the rest of the process goes quickly and smoothly for you. You deserve it for the frustrations and headaches from USCIS.

I called the Manila Embassy tonight and Grace said the visa was released to DELBROS for delivery at 5 PM Monday. This was yesterday in the Phils. Hopefully, DELBROS is better at delivering visas than transferring document verification information. I will hold off celebrating until the visa is in hand.

Wuhoo. Great news guys! Layla's visa was approved!!!

We got a token to come back to the Embassy to pick up the passport w/ Visa tomorrow at 2PM. Heading over to try to book a ticket back home for her! I am flying back Friday, hopefully with her.
