I just recieved THE phone call that I 've been so anxiously waiting for : My wife's K3 visa has been approved

*update on my IR-1*

feelicks called NVC and learned that a checklist was mailed to him because the I-864 AOS was lacking financial evidence (bank statements for the past 12 months)

so my mother-in-law is waiting to receive the checklist before mailing everything to NVC

meanwhile, feelicks is on his way to the philippines as i type

we haven't been together for a year, and i am very excited to be with him... 12 more hours!

i hope everyone is doing great

HELLO MY VJ FRIENDS...GOOD NEWS, WE WERE APPROVED!!!!

Just so you guys know, my husbands interview lasted only 3 minutes. (But the whole experience took about 6 hours...lines, lines). And my husband took a lot of evidence, pictures, joint bank statements, a lot of stuff. THEY DID NOT ASK TO SEE ANYTHING. They did not even look at what he took. They only asked when we met, how long we dated, if he had ever been in the US, and if we were married both legally and religiously. My husband said yes, we are married both by law and by the catholic church, and they said, OK you are APPROVED. That was it!!!

Oh and since there are 5 crossing bridges in Ciudaed Juarez, into Texas. Once you get the yellow envelope (the one you have to give to the US officer at the POE) it tells you what POE (bridge) you have to go to. We were assigned to FABENS, TEXAS bridge. That was the farthest one...but it was OK because it was really small POE Office (it was like an office trailer) and there was only one couple in front of us waiting. So the process was really fast.

For the rest of you waiting or who need info on the Consulate in Ciudad Juarez, I will post more info on the Foreign embassy - Ciudad Juarez Thread.

Neenuh, it is nice to hear Feelicks is on his way to visit you. Have a great reunion. I would very much like to visit my wife now.

As for an update the AR is still the same. The doc verification delays seem to be growing rapidly on the Philippines forum. K1, K3, and CR1/AR1 visas are all being affected. Today has been two months since Meryll paid the verification fee and DELBROS text confirmed the receipt.

I suggest when your time comes to pay the doc verification fee early and call DELBROS to make sure they have received and forwarded your payment.

i would like to thank VJers for their help and suppor throughout this process.....I had my interview yesterday, March 6, and the consul said my husband (davejaz42107) and I are approved and was given a pink slip and paid the delivery fee. I feel funny because half of me wants to celebrate and the other half wants to wait til I have the visa before I do because I don't want to expect and then learn we're on AR because of the document verification I wasn't given a white slip that says "wait til you hear from us" planning to leave the PI on the 18th....i just hope the visa arrives on time

It's wonderful to see such great progress in this thread. A huge congratulations to Pkewl, YGandMAT and Dave & Jaz :dance: It is a great feeling to see more of the people I have gone through this journey with, receive their approvals and be reunited or so close to being reunited

Thanks everyone for their congrats!!! We are veery happy. Liz Leija and SongKim also got their visas for their spouses...they are also VJ members, we had the interview on the same day so we got a chance to meet. They are very nice and cool people. So congrats to Liz and Song for your visas!!!

Hello everyone. Sorry I have not been on here much but I have been busy with other things. Congratulations to those who have already been approved for visas.

My husband had his interview at the lagos embassy today. He said it was awesome. He was told to pick up his visa on Monday, 3/17/08, at 2 p.m. He will be flying home on Marhc 18th!!! We are very excited. We give all the thanks, honor, and glory to our Lord for making this happen. God bless each of you.

Congratulations to gogo if they received their approval. I read his last 5 posts and could not find it. The last update I read was that their petitions were sent back to CSC.
