Rachel_1208, I added in the extra info you gave :) Please update it in your timeline also, so that is can benefit others :)

Congrations on your POE going well, G&A :D:dance: I'll be looking at your review later to give me an idea of what to expect for mine :)

Amoro, your wife needs to send the affidavit of support to you for the interview, along with it's supporting evidence (tax transcripts, pay stubs etc). As far as I know, the embassy will not need to see it prior to your interview, unless your embassy follows a different procedure to the UK. You can apply for your police certificate at any time (they are generally valid for either 6 or 12 months) and you would apply for them as you would if an employer wanted a copy. Could you also create a timeline for your profile so that it can help others :)

Deb, it is a good feeling when you speak to someone at USCIS that actually seems to have human emotions. I hope that she is able to find out exactly what is holding up your petition and speed it along on the correct path.

Urge... it is horrible that the embassy suddenly changed from a 3 week to a 3 month interview wait, especially as they took so long to give you the date for it :( But it is good that you are no longer waiting in limbo and the days will pass by. Wintime's suggestion of going to see your wife early and making an extended holiday of the interview is a good one. I have no intentions of leaving this thread until we are all approved :P So you're stuck with me :P Gogo has a meeting at the local office coming up later in the month and will hopefully get some news at that point.

Wintime, congratulations on the interview date :dance: And so close too :D

Another update on the chart as we have so much new information...

Thank you Devine and I am happy to hear your K3 has been forwarded to the Embassy. I hope things go smoother from now on.

Congratulations on finally getting an interview date wintime. I understand the anxiety of waiting for the news and hope you are jumping for joy after the interview.

Congratulations a second time rlpolo78. The approvals are rolling in nicely on the February interviews at US Embassy Manila thread.

Kathryn,

Thanks for your encouraging words. I felt for the first time that someone at USCIS actually liked doing their job and wanted to make the other person feel like their feelings mattered. And you are right in telling Urge he will not be the last one left in the this thread, it will be me, lol!!! I was the only one left in G&A's thread and I will be the last one in this one as well it seems. This is really a rocky road, but I am glad I have all my VJ friends to smooth out the bumps.

Thanks to you Kathryn and everyone on VJ. Good luck getting your interview.

Deb

Oh deb i'm sorry to admit it but i was thinking about you being the last one on the other thread when I wrote that. But being the last isn't always the worst thing, I was blacked out of the last one for two months thinking everyone else was going to be here in 2008 and I was going to flee america if he wasn't here by 2010.. kidnapping my kids in the process (their father would never give permission for me to take them to Africa not that he sees them anyway). You are NOT going to be the last this time girl! You're going to suddenly shoot forward making the rest of us choke on your dust!

LOL, Kathryn, thx so much for these encouraging words. Your right, it's not always the worst thing being last. After all, he who laughs last, laughs longest, or something like that  I just pray that it does not take two weeks for that lady to receive our file from NRC. We are already so behind on getting to the embassy. They are already assigning interviews in the middle of April. At this rate, we will have to have our petition extended as it is only valid until May 8. Pray, pray, pray for us and I will keep you in mine for an early interview date.

Deb

Hi All,

Now that I finally a few mins to catch up on this thread.. Let me chime in :)

Wow... So much progress with so many of you. So lets start:

Edp333, racquel, rlpolo and if I have misssed anyone: CONGRATULATIONS BIG TIME  Wish you all the best for a great life-journey ahead.. Same for you Cheryl and G&A...

Deb:

So sorry to hear about your USCIS/NVC delay... but it feels great to hear from you that you may have gotten someone on phone who cares about your case. I sincerely hope that the USCIS solve your hold-up issue and that your case gets forwarded to local embassy. Wish you all the best with that and you will be in my prayers. Hang in there Deb.

Kathyrn,

To keep my response short, I totally understand your reasoning of CR1 vs. K3 and your problems with the mail system and what not. If your research/instinct/gut tells you to go for K3 then go for it. In my opinion, you are giving yourself and your husband a best chance. I do understand some people's argument of entering as a CR1 vs. high AOS fees but due to Lagos' history, I think yoy may be better off with K3. Regardless, we (all your VJ friends) are with you. Good Luck and hope you have a speedy remaining process.

UTR:

Glad to see you back here on VJ. We did miss you here on VJ a lot and I am really sorry to hear about the delay in your interview date. As you can see from my sig below, I am somewhat in a same position and as such I totally understand what you must be going thru becoz I went thru the same emotions but hang in there. The END is almost here... Good Luck

Lastly, wish everyone all the best for a speedy progress in their case at whatever juncture they may be at.

TC and try to make it a good weekend.

You are such a sweet guy!

I think time is going to start zipping by now. We all have so much to prepare for with the upcoming interviews, the Aff of Support.. final assessment of all of our supporting evidence etc. It's starting to stay light longer during the day which indicates that spring is around the corner and all of us will have our spouses home by summer. We are no longer in the abyss of the unknown. We all have something to grasp onto. I don't have an interview date yet but I know it's coming. Deb was hanging in limbo for a while but there's hope to cling onto there too. Let's all pay our taxes, keep urge busy to let the time pass quickly and look forward to watching fireworks with our SOs on the 4th of July!

Kathryn,

I like you thinking, spring is about to hit. Looks like our SO's interviews will be around the same time! Fantastic!

pkewl,

Thank for the thoughts bud. I am happy you have you interview date. Best of luck. Thanks for the encouragement.

Obviously, I am not hanging around VJ as much as I used to, the frustration of our late interview date comes rushing back to often, so I stay away. But I will check in time and again. Take care.
