thank you CJ! we hope that my interview will be before Xmas. Because it will be the greatest gift ever to make the first step in 2008 dancing with my lovely wife Hope God is with us one more time!

That would be awesome for you The UK is 2-3 months for interview time so I still think I'm on track for late February. I would have loved to spend Xmas, New Years and Valentines day with Josh... but there are always the next ones

I have a little question... Where do i check the status of my case after it was received by NVC? I mean... how do i know when NVC forward it to my consulate?! over the phone? on a web-site? I know my case is in NVC, i have the case number... but i'd like to know when it will be on it's way to Romania....

Any ideas?

And one more thing... my wife didn't understood the first three letters from our case number... I heard that all begins with same letters... can someone plz tell me his/her letters!? we have B, H... and something. is that correct?

usually those first three alphabets represents city of the us consulate. in my case it is BMB means Bombay (india).

Congrats on getting to NVC. Wait 2 or 3 days, and call back to NVC to find out that they have forwarded it onto to Bucharest. Then wait about a week or so, and email Bucharest to see if they got it.

The letters are for Bucharest. The NVC case number is specific for your consulate/Embassy. Bucharest is BCH. Mine is BGN, for Bridgetown, Barbados

my wife called yesterday evening NVC and they received our case. They said they receive cases everyday!!! So... who has timeline like ours give them a call... you'll ever know!

I received news from my Senator' s office this morning that our petition has been sent to Manila. I am not sure how I can get accurate receipt and sent dates, but I will try using the NVC number on the automated system.

I find it hard to believe our petition was received and sent the same day, but I also find it unusual to get response from my Senator's office so quickly. Maybe a little heavenly intervention came into effect here.

According to NVC it was not received by 11-15 -2007 as I had two different people at NVC check. USCIS is the one who stated our petition was forwarded to NVC on 11-13 after I requested another petition to be sent. Confussing yes, but as long as it gets to Manila.
