Good Day to all:

My name is Robert and I havea great and wonderful young lady that I Love Love very much but she is in Phlippines and I am trying to have her come over here to Usa but I am having great deal of problems, we are very very happy and want to be together as one. I would like to know if anyone has any good suggestions on how she can come over. I was thinking about going over there, but I hear it is not safe, I am still considering that though. Please help if you can. I thank you and hope you all have a great day.

Welcome to VJ, Robert. There are many members here going through the Philippines that may be able to better answer your questions.

Try this link :

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Welcome to VJ!

There's 2 way she can visit you, one is to apply for tourist visa (B2) or apply for fiancee visa (K1).

It depends on how would you like her to stay. If you only want her to visit then try to apply for tourist visa, the processing timeframe is very short though its hard to get specially for first time applicants.

Or if you want to marry her and let her stay for good.. apply for K1 visa usually takes up to 6 months or more. Your choice.

In the Philippines there are some places that are not safe to travel for foreigners as stated on your countries travel advisory mostly part of Mindanao and some part in Visayas where there were terorist threat and rebel soldiers. But not all!!

Hello and welcome to VJ! There are several visa options depending on if you want to marry this girl or not. The Guides section is very helpful, as are the Visa FAQ, and of course the members here are a great source of information as well. Good luck to you on whatever you decide!

Go visit her if in your heart you know she is the one. When it comes to terrorists, there is no safe place, not even the USA.

Welcome to VJ :)
