I get home from a bad day at work, turn on the PC and webcam, my baby comes on so we can do our nightly chat, and I decided to check my e-mail. 4 messages. 2 of them from the USCIS. Sudden knots occur. But then almost as suddenly absolute elation!

From the USCIS website and e-mail:

"This case has been approved. On April 13, 2006, an approval notice was mailed. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business hours."

... wow

Now what? Am I going to the postal place to send a copy of the I-129F package to her? Or the one with the originals? (should I send an original certified copy of my birthcert in the package too?) What do I need to do from here now that it's on the way to the NSC and then Manila?

I am so excited and happy right now that I almost feel pukey. lol!

Meh, nothing to see here.

I'm pretty sure she'll need the original copies of the documents when she attends her interview at the consulate. As for what to do at this stage - be sure to look at the guides on the site. I'm sure other (far more seasoned) VJers will be able to provide much better advice.

Great news...congrats. I would try to make sure your fiancee has all the paperwork she will need for her interview. It is true she will need copies of your I-129F documents, passport size pictures, financial documents from you showing that you are capable to support her, a letter reconfirming your ongoing committment to the relationship and K1 process along with a host of other specific documents she will have to present in regards to her such as police report, etc. As others suggested check this site for information concerning the next phase, check that countrys embassy website for information specific to that region and it never hurts to check Embassy info at the top and read information others before you have shared about their experiences with the embassy.
