Hi all,

I have question. my wife have interview for k3 on Nov 20, 2007 but CR1 is also {Pakistan Embassy} For Packet 3.5 they want to have original documents ( Marriage Certificate and Birth Certificate) mailed out to embassy for CR1.

Question is If i mail those papers to embassy for CR-1 Process but after 2 weeks my wife have interview then we do not have any thing to show to them for k3 visa. Mailing system in my country is not good. In that case what should i do? should I delay the process when i go to interview show them those papers or mail them out.

People, correct me if I am wrong but you can't interview for 2 different visas. You have to abandon either the K3 or CR-1.

You absolutely can interview for both visas but not when both case files are present at the Consulate together.

It's not clear to me but I think both case files are already in Islamabad. If so, the Consulate is not allowed to grant a K3 visa when the immigrant visa is immediately available. (case on station). I would contact the Consulate directly with your question. Chances are, they'll have you interview for the CR1 visa on the K3 interview date. I would ask for this specifically, if your I-130 case file is in their hands.
