Medical Exam (for pregnant wife)

Hi Everybody,

This is my first time and first post to this forum... Looks like a very helpfull place!

I married my gf of 2+ years last week and quickly filed an I-130 (on October 22).

She is pregnant with our child and I really want to get her here as fast as possible.

I'm not expecting to get it approved in time for her to have our child here, but just in-case, I want to be prepared for all the hiccups...

The first major hiccup I could think of was the medical exam... My friend just went through the whole spouse from japan and the immigrant had to get several vaccination shots... Will they require the same from my wife? I haven't checked with her doctor yet, but I'm pretty sure it's a bad thing to get vaccninated while your pregnant....

So, to sum up...

Will a pregnant woman be required to get vaccinations before approving her visa?

Any help greatly apprciated!

I don't think so they won't give her any sots that are not appropriate for pregnant as well as she dosen't have to go through x-ray procedure it's bad for the fetus

Any pregnant woman will be evaluated accordingly. By saying so, the panel physician will determine what could be given for her vaccinations, and may ask to sign a waiver form at the time of her medical appointment date (for the vaccinations and x-ray). She will also be asked to get the required vaccinations soon after giving birth.
