Dale, if you see a guy like this at the grocery, tell him your story! Invite them over for a bbq. Just be sure they park where they need too! ;)

I hope this dirtbag is taken to the cleaners, too many underhanded and unlicensed contractors in California :angry:

I can put a lien against his house and get in line with everyone else he owes money to and wait for him to go into bankruptcy and have his house forclosed on. That's about it. This is why no attorney wants to touch this case. There's no actual money in it.

No garnishing of wages, no forcing him to sell his car. In the end, people can still steal thousands from you and pretty much get away with it.

The fine in florida is 5000 dollars if your caught contracting without a license. It is also a criminal offense.
