Hi. I downloaded the most recent DS-156K pdf form which the Moscow embassy says must be filled out in Russian. However when I type in Cyrillics from a seperate on-screen keyboard, the form shows blank spaces. This Cyrillic font works in other applications -- and actually worked on my I-129F pdf form I filled out in May.

Is there a specific Cyrillic font I should use?

Thanks.

Where did you download it from? Can't the fiance(ee) just hand write it? It's not an electronic version so if you're sending it over, just have him/her fill it out by hand.

Maybe but in the Philippines most peeps still have to type or handprint the DS 157. White outs and corrections are OK tho.

I think there is a part where you have to put your fiance(e)'s name down in their own native alphabet. I just had my fiancee type it on a word document, e-mail to me and then I copied and pasted in to the form and printed.

I use Adobe Acrobat professional, which has a typewriter mode for PDF documents that allows me to type anywhere. I type the Cyrillic into Word or my translation software (I use PROMT) and then copy it and paste it into the PDF using the aforementioned typewriter mode. It all works well for me, anyway.
