It's a real gray day here today. :(

The house is a real nightmare so I'm going to spend my day trying to clean it up!!!! Although, my little boy is driving me NUTS!!!! He's making a mess faster than I can clean up! I had folded towels and clothes and put them on my bed to put away. While I was at the other end of the house in the laundry room, he climbed up on my bed and pushed everything into the floor!

AGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :girlwerewolf2xn::ranting: ......need I say more!

I hate to say it, but I'm looking forward to dropping him off at my grandma's this afternoon so I can get a little grocery shopping done!

Hope everyone else is having a "peaceful" weekend!

I took the whole week off of work next week, so today marks the beginning of my nine-day study party (exam is next Monday). I've got six 3-inch binders full of material, a pot full of espresso and my number 2s. Wish me luck!

P.S. in case anyone is interested I'm studying actuarial statistics. WOOT!

Good morning!

Allousa-- He's so cute it must be so hard to get mad at him! lol Hope you're able to enjoy some kind of a peaceful afternoon.

Jenn-- good luck studying!

The weather here is crazy--my house (inside) is chilly but when I stepped outside it was muggy and way too warm for the last weekend of October. And it's kind of rainy so it's quite humid...and here I was thinking all morning it was a raw, cold, rainy NORMAL New England day!

I got to sleep in :D but I was out till 2:30 because my friend's computer had a hard disk failure and I was able to resurrect it from almost certain death! It was so funny because we were on the phone talking about his recent breakup and he was like "oh btw my computer won't boot and hasn't for 2 weeks, it just turns on and says COMPAQ and turns off" So I figured if the computer could still recognize that it's a compaq then there was some kind of a pulse and therefore salvageable! So while on the phone we managed to get the computer to do something (got in the bios--yay!) so I told him not to do ANYTHING and rushed over there with the walkthrough printout I had from reformatting my own computer 3 weeks ago. And my friend's mother made me dinner for fixing their computer (my friend is still in college and lives w/ his parents)...I don't know what she made but it was chicken and delicious :luv:

My coworkers have hijacked the food aspect of my wedding and told me not to worry about a thing :luv: :luv: :luv:

Hope everyone has a lovely day! My day will consist of cleaning and getting the house ready--Ramy arrives in 14 days!

Divorced. To hell with him.

Good morning everybody! Gotta love a Saturday.

I am off to get Lexy then drive to Chicago and pick up circus tickets  I'm taking her for the drive to let her parents have some 'alone time.'

Ya know Sarah, my coworkers envy you west coast golfers. The season for them is almost over. Long gone are the 6am tee times, listening to the birds chirping. Soon there will be frost on the greens. I almost sound like I know what I'm talking about..lol. I have never golfed. I mini-golfed and kicked azz, but I don't think it is nearly the same. I think I could be a good golfer,,,,imagine someone's face in the ball, lift that club high behind me and....................SWING!!!!! Watch that ball fly. Sounds like a good stress relief.

Jenn, 9 day study party??? Come up for air on Thursday for Survivor!

Ayesha, I got some laundry to to do

Allousa---thats what grandma's are for. We love it.

my mission, should i decide to accept it (if i don't probably no dinner) is to:

- switch the computer from a usb satellite modem to a lan card modem (lan card installed earlier this morning). now to deal with my isp "tech support" named "bob" or "carl" in india :help:

- finish setting up the satellite tv dish to route thru the vcr player and out to the tv and then set the vcr player to record a particular tv show for nessa. already done the cable work, now to tune the vcr (bleh!)

Kansas did you say? You are gonna move from hurricanes to tornados?

hurricanes have tornados in them - the most recorded in a hurricane was over 100 :innocent:

yep - tornadoes are common here, except we don't have massive ones like you see in that region. Unlike states who are prepared for that, we have small houses on slabs that get pulverized by even tiny tornadoes. (and no ooooh ####### rooms).

Rainy day in NY and I escaped my STUDIO APT. to spend some alone time at work - I know it sounds crazy but I love my office and today I hate my apt.

So Jamal's friend just decided to come to NY from Germany and he will be staying with us in our studio apt. who knows for how long - I hate people!!!!!!!!!!

If you are supposedly loaded then stay at a hotel, have the NYC experience - don't come into my small cramped place and make me feel weird - I know I am ranting and I am selfish but I can't change how I feel - I need some privacy!

I tired to explain to Jamal that this is the exact reason we need a bigger place - i have no problem with his friends coming over but not to a once room place. Even when my mom comes from Fl. she will stay with us a day and then ventures of to her friends house.

I feel like I am talking to a wall...

I offered to pay for the hotel - just leave me alone - I guess I am not social but how do you expect me to get some sleep if we are all stuck in one room and the want to talk all night - I need a life.

Sorry for the rant....

Hope that everyone will have a good weeked

D.

Jenn- You took a whole week off to study!? That doesn't sound like very fun vacation time!

Jackie- The golf season is year round here! I can't imagine not being able to play in the winter, that seems so weird to me.

Dorothy- I don't think you sound selfish at all. That doesn't sound like much fun for anyone. Good luck with that.

bob also works for united healthcare. Both Yassmine and I have spoken with him. I'm sure he'd be helpful if I could understand him better!
