Hello everyone!

I have just notice that some "Standard" Appointment Posts are being converted to "NVC Appointment" Posts.

Does anyone know the schedule for the changes? My wife and I had our I-130 approved recently but it has not reached the NVC yet. Our embassy will be in Japan (Tokyo).

How do you check to see if and when the Tokyo embassy becomes an Appointment post?

Is there anything else that they will put in our way to immigration?

Thanks!

You will have to go thru the NVC process for CR/IR before you have to worry about an "appointment post".

No idea what that is tho!

Appointment for interview?

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Here you can check what kind of post yours is. Lots of post turned to NVC processing in September and the date when new requirements kicked in was Oct, 1. Lots of people were unpleasantly surprised, as then you need to send more paperwork to NVC compared to Standard processing.

I can only suggest that you check this link frequently and that you order your police certificates and translations immediately.

When you click on the Link, I think the way it works is, for that particular Embassy, at the top of the paragraph, in bold letters, it will say "Appointment NVC Process" or "Standard Process", that's how you know....Is this correct?

Can anybody confirm this?

Thanks.
