If you have already sent in your packet but they haven't cashed the check, I would strongly recommend putting a stop-payment on the check. At least that way they will just reject your packet for non-payment.

The only way you can bypass the meeting each other requirement is if you have a hugely compelling reason, such as strict religious customs. That doesn't sound like the case here.

Go meet your lady, spend some time with her. You will enjoy it, and then you'll be able to file properly.

Best of luck to you!

And even for those reasons, its still very very hard to get around the meeting requirement. Just go meet your fiance. You wont get approved until you do.

You asked this question exactly one year ago from today's date Here

At that time the fees were much much less. You did meet your fiancee in December of 2005 but didn't have enough proof?

Hmm...

I suggest you meet a few more times in person, take lots of pictures, keep the boarding passes, stamps in your passport and then proceed.

Best of luck to you.

So you met in 2005 in that thread, and now you haven't met?

Agreed. If your SO visited Dec 2005, you can still file by Dec and be ok. If they have the passport stamps, that is the primary evidence you need. Let go of the picture thing, it's only 2ndary evidence, you dont need it. Just file with what you said you had in your post from last year. Or else you can wait till Oct 26th 2008 and ask again :)

FYI, you wont be filing anything with INS, as it no longer exists. USCIS for several years now.

Me and my fiancee has not met in person yet...but we love each other and we have decided to file our petition without meeting in person and we will pay them 455us$ .to INS ..

I want to know in case they don't approve our petition without meeting in person and ask for proof of meeting in person ..the only option is my fiancee has to fly to me and we can give the proof BUT ....do we have to reapply and pay them 455us$ again?

If you haven't met then you will be denied. Do you think they would suspend the rules just for you? :help:
