Hi,

I met with the person who handles immigration cases for my Congressman today and she wants me to get a letter from my doctor stating that due to my RA I really need my husband here to help me.

Does a sample medical hardship letter exist or has anyone else already done one of these who'd care to share the layout/wording?

Thanks!

Well, way back when we were in AR hell, I was in a very back car accident that required emergency surgery and then surgery again 4 weeks later. I broke my fibula, tibia, 4 bones on the top of my foot and my doctor said it looked like someone had taken a ball bat to my ankle bones. With two kids at home it was impossible to even take care of them. At that time I had ran into a guy at one of my doctors visits whose wife just happened to work at the sentors office here. I contacted her and he contacted me shortly after. He said the only way anything is really expidited is when there is a life threatening condition, like I had a head injury and wasn't expected to make it type of thing. So I ended up living with my parents for about 4 months (God that was murder) and hobbling around months after that waiting for my honey to get here. It's always worth a try though. Never know, things may have changed since then.

Did they at least try to give Cairo a letter or did you just let it go since they didn't give you any hope?
