If anyone can enlighten me it would be greatly appreciated----2 weeks ago my husband went to the embassy in JA and got approval with his interview! We are still waiting for him to receive his documentation so that he can leave. The waiting is both frustrating and agonizing as I thought the interview was the last process and that he would receive his paperwork--5 to 10 days as stated on the website of the US consulate in JA. I contacted them only to be told that they are still processing. When I asked how long this would take I got no response. The not knowing and the long waiting of what is taking so long is what is really the most frustrating! I would feel better if they said they are backlogged, etc but nothing!

If anyone can tell me what they are now waiting on I--It would greatly help ease my worries :angry::o

Thanks,

Beyond stressed out!

Very few countries do same day processing anymore. No idea why, but I guess they don't want to send his passport with visa back to him until the paint is dry on it.

I was a lucky one and had one of the last few same day processed visas out of Canada, but now it takes a few days for them to send it to you. I dunno about Jamaica, but in Montreal you can go personally to pick it up to save time. Ask them if he can go pick it up once its ready.
