All those who recently filed I-485 package concurrently with I-130; questions for you.

I am an H-1B visa holder and have enough time on my visa. I just married a US citizen and I am filing all forms together. I have a few questions on the form.

I-485 (part 2)- Which box will be most applicable to my situation (A, or Other)?

I-485 (part 3)- Where is the NON IMMIGRANT VISA number on the visa? We assumed it was the one that was in red colour.

I-765- right on top there are three boxes stating " I am applying for.....". What do you think it would be since I already have a valid H-1B;

I-765 Question 11 - which box will be the right one ?

I-864- If my husband qualifies under the section 213A , Do we still need to file I-864A to fill in my information??

Also, as we are filing all forms together; which address would the package go to?

Looking forward to hear back from some of you guys out here... Thanks!

To answer a couple of your questions:

1. I-485 part 2: mark A

2. Yes, the non-immigrant visa number is the number in red

Unfortunately, I cannot answer your questions regarding the EAD since I didn't apply for it myself, but I'm sure someone else can help you out.

Good luck on your journey and welcome to VJ!

I am an H-1B visa holder and have enough time on my visa. I just married a US citizen and I am filing all forms together. I have a few questions on the form.

I-485 (part 2)- Which box will be most applicable to my situation (A, or Other)?

We put other (h) - and then stated that he is the husband of a USC and that we filed the I-130 concurrently. I was later told that we could have put (a). I felt more comfortable putting (h)

I-485 (part 3)- Where is the NON IMMIGRANT VISA number on the visa? We assumed it was the one that was in red colour.

Yes

I-765- right on top there are three boxes stating " I am applying for.....". What do you think it would be since I already have a valid H-1B;

Permission to accept emplyment

I-765 Question 11 - which box will be the right one ?

No

I-864- If my husband qualifies under the section 213A , Do we still need to file I-864A to fill in my information??

We filled out the I-864ez form, since I was well over the 125%. I also submitted copies of my tax transcripts. We did not receive any RFE's. I am not suggesting that you won't - we didn't have any issues by ignoring his salary.

Also, as we are filing all forms together; which address would the package go to?

US Department of Homeland Security

PO Box 805887

Chicago, IL 60680-4120

Looking forward to hear back from some of you guys out here... Thanks!

This is what we did. This is no guarantee that your process will mirror ours in any way. Just covering our butt :)

Good luck and let me know if you need any more assistance. This is a great site, but the forms are a little different when you approach it as an H1-B visa holder and not a K-1, K-3.
