Vaccinations and pregnant

The interview is nov 9 and and my wife is going for her medical mon 29

she has no record of vaccinations and she is pregnant

will we have any problems with the medical exam?

But since she has not medical record to start with will they deny us because she can't have some vaccinations and Xrays because she pregnant?

Ohh, I get posts back from some saying I should put my timeline up. But I have filled in our timeline already here on VJ. Is there some trigger for making it public or something that would cause others not to see it?

Vaccinations aren't required until she adjust status in the US.

This is for her medical before interview at USEM. Vaccinations is REQUIRED before arriving to the US and in time for the applicant's interview at the embassy. Now, since she is pregnant, she will be asked to take this vaccination as soon as after she has the baby.

No problem with SLEC or USEM. Going through this whole thing is a requirement before they can approve you of the immigrant visa. They will give you their recommendations or referral if there's any. Your wife will be notified regardless.

I've had a reply stating the medical might want to know that I KNOW she is pregnant at the medical interview? If this is so, what would be a good way to confirm this for the medical board. I have sent her letters talking about being a daddy, maybe that would be enough evidence for her at the interview?

I have not heard of that before, but since you think they will, I suggest to write a Letter of Acknowledgment for the unborn child addressed to SLEC or even USEM, just in case.

Medical Examination is one of the important part of visa processing. So you have to produced a record of this. As for my experienced the nurse asked me for a promised that I will not get pregnant after taking the vaccination. It means that taking vaccination during pregnancy has a risk for the baby. I suggest you have to call your MD and inquire for your situation.

I have not heard of that before, but since you think they will, I suggest to write a Letter of Acknowledgment for the unborn child addressed to SLEC or even USEM, just in case.

I was the one that posted that. It comes from a true case of my wife's cousin. The above suggested letter, while probably not needed, might help if it comes up at interview. However, in the case I know of, the letter had to be notarized, and sent directly to the US Embassy. It's a small amount of work that could save a potential delay (however unlikely).

Keep in mind that the people at the Embassy don't know you or your wife, but they do know that women sometimes show up pregnant at the medical exam, and sometimes the USC petitioner is not the father. This can cause problems with the couple when she gets to the US. Thiis is an unfortunate fact of long distance international relationships. I personally know at least 2 women who had boyfriends in the Philippines while engaged to US men who were petitioners for their K1 VISAs. Again, remember that they don't know you, but they know about this kind of problem.

During SLEC medical exam. your wife will be asked for her immunization records but if she doesn't have it's ok. The doctor will indicate which vaccines she needs and she has an "OPTION" to have the vaccination in US after she give birth. SLEC will still give her the immunization record form with the comment of her condition during her medical examination. As far as i remember, they asked me to sign a consent and on behalf of my petitioner so they can take an X-ray exam, knowing i was pregnant (it did not harm my baby though).

For the interview, it would be so wise to send your wife a notarized letter stating that it is your child because USEM is too strict and doubtful. Good luck!
