Congrats!!

I remember getting my divorce certificate- it was bittersweet. It made me a little sad- I had so much hope for something that didn't work out, but it was still exciting that I knew I could find it again and make it better the next time.

Stacey, I know how you feel. My ex and I have been apart for awhile now...and I've gotten well over him, I was over him before I even moved out of his house. It's sad, but we both have respect for each other and I still care about him, just not in that way. People change and grow and it just wasn't meant to be.

This time it's for real.

Thanks sweetheart!!!!!! We are both SO excited!!!!

Only like a month and a half till Nick gets here for Christmas..it will be our first Christmas together...we spent New years together last year but weren't able to be together on Christmas Day.

This year will be so special!!!

8-14-2007 Mailed in husband's I-130 to Consulate in Toronto

8-15-2007 Toronto received I-130

8-27-2007 Toronto called to set up I-130 appointment

8-31-2007 Interview at Consulate Approved

9-25-2007 Received Packet 3 in mail

12-9-2007 Received police record (fingerprint version)

1-18-2008 Sent packet 3 back

2-26-2008 heard back from Montreal via email about our interview date

4-23-2008 Montreal Interview!!! Visa APPROVED!!

5-31-2008 Crossed the border into the US to live! :) (one of the happiest days!!)

Currently residing in NC and loving it!

03/2011 Looking into getting dh US citizenship (and just when I thought we were done with all the paperwork! Ha!

3-25-2011 Check cashed

3-25-2011 NOA

4-16-2011 Fingerprints

09/19/2007: Withdrew CIC application (they still hadn't processed anything)

10/01/2007: Moved back to U.S.

IR-1 application through Montreal Consulate

10/26/2007: I-130 mailed to CA Service Center

10/29/2007: USPS confirmation of receipt of I-130

02/13/2008: NOA-1 received (107 days)

07/02/2008: I-130 approved

07/22/2008: AOS filed including EAD and AP

07/25/2008: NOA-1s for all 3 received

08/20/2008: Biometrics appointment

08/22/2008: Received RFE for Affadivit of Support and Medical

10/21/2008: Submitted I-865W in lieu of co-sponsor and medical info to NSC

11/14/2008: online case status not updated since filing of AOS in July 2008

01/20/2009: Received another RFE for Affadavit of Support Info

02/02/2009: Responded to RFE with brand new AOS based on 2008 tax return (if that doesn't shut them up, dunno what will)

02/19/2009: EAD card received in mail (no updates on Online Case Status ever made)

02/23/2009: AP received (again, no online updates)

02/26/2009: Received interview appointment letter for 4/6/09

04/06/2009: AOS approved for unconditional GC

congrats! I remember how happy I was the day I got my divorce order in the mail. I did a happy dance and freaked out our cabbie. Congrats again, and hopefully everything will go smoothly and speedily for you from here on out

WOO HOO! The judge signed the papers and we got them in the mail today!!!

Just have to wait a couple of weeks, go down to the courthouse and pick up my divorce certificate!

Nick and I will be filing end of November, just as I thought!!! :) YAY!
