I have a "feeling" I will might get an RFE based on something on my joint sponsor's paperwork. Seems like everyone is getting RFEd. Although I have no way of knowing for sure, I have the following questions:

1) Does anyone know if it's possible and/or recommendable to send in evidence for something you THINK might be RFEd on an I 864? (i.e. no RFE received yet)

2) If it's possible, how would you do this and where would you mail it? (of course including the barcode sheet for the case...)

3) Would it slow down processing?

I hope I don't ever get RFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ssgrip,

99.999% of the time you should wait - gather anything you feel you might get an RFE for and have it ready IF it ever comes. Sending things in (even if they get to your file/case) might confuse things - best to relax and wait - if/when an RFE comes - you'll be ready immediately so any delay would be minimal.

You cannot send documents if they're not asking for it simply because the system is not ready to accept anything from you. NVC is not very consistent at issuing RFE's, you may get lucky and get RFE'ed at all, just sit tight and verify the IVR frequently. Should you have an RFE, you can call an operator to get details and use the RFE shortcut described by Chris Parker. Good luck.

I agree, do not send any kind of paperwork to either the USCIS or NVC unless they ask for them. Mainly because it might confuse them and that might delay your process even longer.
