We are running late on our medical exam.

If we have to wait a day or two to finnish the medical exam stuff

can my wife go to the interview 1 or 2 days late

with the appointment letter?

Do not miss the appointment! The approval will just be held until the medical is received.

Thanks!

Wife has no vaccinations records and she has not had her medical apppointment yet.

And since next week is hollidays in philippines dont know if we will make it in time.

But she is trying to get her local doctor to give her the necessary shots and hopefully

the Medical interview will be faster because she already got her shots.

She lives 10-15 hours from manila so it is difficult to go back and forth.

We did'nt know if she would be turned down for her interview if her medical was not completed first.

Salamat po!

I am not sure why there is a need for you to avail of the necessary vaccinations if you are already paying for that at SLEC  Just like everyone else had said, you have to adhere to the appointment letter given to you. Let me also inform you that SLEC is open until Tueday, not sure with the rest of the week.

You can posts all your concerns in the Regional Discussion- Philippines, and you'll get more information since most members are from the Philippines, and they have local information as to who, what and where questions you might have.

Thanks, yup we will make the interview appointment! And maybe mon and tue is enough time to get the medical exam done?

As for why have the vaccinations done in her home town? She has a couple things to do befor she can go to the interview and earliest she can leave is Saturday. So thought if she already had her vaccinations it would make the medical exam go faster at SLEC? Besides don't they charge extra for vaccinations shots at SLEC or is that covered by the $145 being charged? Thought vaccinations and Xrays cost extra?

Posted (edited)

Nope....vaccinations and x-rays are included in the cost of the medical exam and do not cost extra. No need to waste money getting them from her doctor. Honestly, I don't think they would be accepted if she got them from her doctor as I think they must come from a USCIS civil surgeon. I believe SLEC is the only place, just like medical exam must be done there.

I also agree.....fly her there to Manila on Sunday and get her to the medical Monday and Tuesday. The worst that will happen then is that she will have to explain her medical delay to the consul and her visa will be delayed until the medical results are received at the embassy. Do not miss the interview appointment.

That's really great. Glad to hear that Russ!

Yes, yes and yes!

Only xrays are extra, if they require more testing. However, the first procedural xray is part of your payment. For the vaccinations, they have a list that needs to be given to her, she will be asked if she already have them. If she does, it will not be given, of course! There is no difference whether she had then or not before, they have a system of handling all their patients going for their medical. All of us went through the same thing, unless there are other things that they needed to do as recommended by the physicians at SLEC. Your wife will be advised on every procedure. The packet I have sent you via email explains everything, so there should be no surprises.
