One question, we pretty much have the same timeline, my DS230 RFE was entered into the system on the 18th, however no good news yet. What did they tell yesterday when you called? your case review was in progress or review has not started yet. Trying to guess how long does it take for them after they open your case for review. By the way, there was only one item pending review on my case "2nd police certificate" which by theory shouldn't take them too long to review...

In my case, it took 21 days from receipt for Case Complete. The IVR and Operator Assistance went from "Reviews Pending" on Monday to "Case Complete" on Tuesday. If the RFE response is the last thing needed in your case, it could take a long time because they also will do a second, final review of the whole case before marking the case as complete.

NikkisPrecious got "Case Complete" extremely fast. Even if you are just as lucky, you should expect to wait at least 3 more days (i.e. until next week).

NVC document review is really screwed up. If I had been the person at NVC reviewing my case, unless they have some policy or rule that we don't know about, I would have issued an RFE for two missing items.

Go figure! In some cases, they issue RFE's for documents that were already submitted, and in others they documentarily qualify (i.e. "NVC Case Complete") cases with items missing!

Or, even better, they mistook "Rep. of Georgia (USSR)" to mean Georgia, U.S.A. (no police certificate required), and they misrecognized the copy of my marriage certificate submitted with the I-864A as the beneficiary's prior marriage certificate! (I submitted that with my RFE response even though they failed to ask for it in the RFE, because we know they require proof of the legal relationship of the household member to the sponsor)

I've gotten one of those two missing items now (marriage certificate for terminated marriage, to show the name change which continues beyond the subsequent divorce certificate), but I'm still waiting to see if we can even get the second one, the police certificate for the country of prior residence. I expect the consular officer to require both of them, and will have the applicant prepared to submit them accordingly.

lol - it makes you think they aren't paying attention doesn't it!? Well good you didn't get an RFE, it balances it out if some get one for no good reason and others who probably should don't :)

And no news here rina, the copy of my Husband's PR card arrived at NVC at 10:08 this morning, so we shall see how this all pans out now.

Or, because the timing of the I-864 RFE almost coincided with the DS-230 generation (I never got to hear the DS-230 IVR message because the I-864 RFE IVR message appears to have immediately masked it), they mistook the DS-230 generation as an RFE request and I maxed out on my two DS-230 RFE's on the same day or something goofy like that. Who knows, but it was an unexpected surprise for me to get case complete. It certainly can pay to immediately send what you've got when you know you don't have everything you should need...

We're almost there now too. We just heard that it's been received on the 25th and is now being processed so I'm hoping next week we hear a 'Case closed' and if not the next! :)

I'm wondering do they send you the instructions from your consulate via mail and then you have to send back in via mail? I thought I read somewhere that it was email but I could be just wishing...?!
