1) For Question 21a, I wrote my own name (I am the USC/sponsor, not immigrating). Do you think they will RFE this or should I just send in as is? (actually, I need to send as is because otherwise I'll have to get a new DS 230 Part I signed by my husband which will take another few weeks at the very least...)

2) Page 1 of the DS 230 has a white box on the upper left hand corner which I assume is for passport-sized photos. Is this required that we hand in, or will they request that later?

THANK YOU!

hello ssgrip!

You don't have to do anything with the box, and no visa photos are needed to submit. :)

In quetion 21a: Given that you are the Sponsor as answered in Q14, but are you to accompany your partner going to US?

For my case, CR1, I did'nt put in any names on that field (21a-B), and got case complete.

Just be sure of what you answer and you will be fine, plus it'll save time. (yeah sending papers from PI-US takes a looooong time, but being RFEd takes a looooonger time)

Hope this helps..

21a Yes you do not put US Citizen there, they may be traveling with the person immigrating but the US Citizen is not immigrating.

You can use white-out and correct it to say NONE

No passport photo needed for form DS-230

If you live in the same country, that would be fine, if not, my advice would be to either use white out or cross it out and write N/A.
