I know that plenty of people on the july posting have received timeframes, but I am somewhat curious what is to be gained by going to an InfoPass appointment? I spoke to an IO (2nd level) last week and he said that current timeframe for AOS can be anywhere between 6 and 12 months, especially in busy offices. What can an InfoPass appointment tell you, that an IO on the 2nd level of the customer line (looking at the same system as the InfoPass people which is above the system used by customer service) cannot? I am just cruious. It has now been 3 months since I filed as well. I thought we need to wait a fair bit longer;)

I applied for my EAD first and separately earlier on this year and its now in place(thank god), ....info pass is a face to face inquiry ...how did you get to a "2nd level" IO ???? I am not sure what the difference is??? or just the same BS information. I would think by now I should have some kind of AOS appt date. thats what I am after. I just want to make sure that my application has not been misplaced or forgotten at the bottom of the pile.

Cheers!

AOS is about 4-6 months depending on the office. EAD should be about 74-80 days on AVERAGE. Mine is now at 112 days, so something is wrong. No one will escalate until it hits August 5th processing dates. I am not worried about my AOS, just my EAD. They told me to call back friday to hound someone to get to 2nd level.

Makes sense. If you do find that the Infopass appointment gives you any info about the AOS as well, please let us know. Good luck and hope you get your EAD soon.
