Bad Poetry Game

I would like to start a thread for those of us who can't write poetry but love to pretend they do. So, let your words flow out of your pens/keyboards for the pure enjoyment of it. Anything goes, it doesn't have to rhyme and it needs no meter.

I start:

This thread is for poets

who know no rhyme

who know some words

but don't have time

to polish their language

or think through their lines.

This thread is for those

bored at work

or wasting some time

between their chores

or waiting for their loved ones

for months and for years

and need a means

to express their fears.

i hope friend..it was not about that poem i posted..i did not write it...but i will try..

the only poem i wrote...3rd grade..used it again in called...

BoBo is my dog

he eats like a hog

runs and plays all day

and sleeps the night away

Nope, has nothing to do with the poem you posted. I was inspired by some friends who started a bad poetry thread in a yahoo-group and it's lots of fun. I thought maybe people on VJ would enjoy the same...

This is bad poetry: (And it is defintely not fit for civilized persons )

The night was dark

The moon was green

Around from the corner,

Came a ####### machine

A shot was fired!

A scream was heard!

And a man was killed,

By a flying #######

An ode to the elbow, all quirky and bendy

If yours isn't working, I hope you can mendy

without elbows to bend, your arms in their sockets

couldn't reach down and get all the things in your pockets

I'm glad I've got elbows, to me they're quite dear

yet try as I might....won't fit in my ear!

Very cool poems so far! I find that once you try and decide who cares if it's any good, it comes out more easily.

Here's another one of mine:

Standing in line,

I decided waiting was not my thingy.

What I really wanted was some speed

in getting where I wanted to be.

So, I tried to move in front of the line,

and lo-and-behold,

it worked but not very well.

Halfway through my journey

I got tossed back to where I had been

-what a tremendous waste of time.

I love gas station poetry or actually any sort of bathroom poetry.
