Wanted to stop by and drop a quick line giving back to the forum.

Short and sweet

We had our interview on Oct 10th at 11:30 ish?? In Chicago. Pretty hectic start to our day since I had to get an ID at the DMV right before the interview since I was on a traffic ticket. After leaving the DMV we were involved in a fender bender (not my fault) so instead of being there early we were there right on time.

My wife and I were both very nervous and kept going over all the basic questions quizzing each other back and forth. We were finally called in after about a 15 min wait. The whole thing lasted about 10 min tops. He asked for my wifes birth Cer, passport, old visa, our marriage Cer., things had in both our hames we gave him our lease and bank statement. He then made photo copies of everything and asked a few questions. How we met? When we got married? Any pics? Handed him our small album with just candid pics of us, he looked at the first 2 and closed it up and said he's going to approve our case and when to expect the letter and GC. Green Card came in last week.

What started off as being such a crappy day turned out to be great day.

If anyone in Chicago needs pointers we'll be glad to send you in the right direction.

Good Luck to all.

Congrats.

Do you think quizzing was necessary? My wife and I know each other very well and I can't imagine any sort of "trick questions" being asked.

Thanks all

No it's prob not but we wanted to make sure we know the names of everyone on both sides of the family and gifts purchased for each other for ie xmas, 1 yr aniv, etc etc

If it's real and legit it all comes to you and i think they're good at reading people as a couple. We never once stressed over the AOS situation and just let things happen. We never checked our status on line or anything pretty much just mailed all the apps in one and kind or had the send it and forget it attitude until we rec the letters from Customs that gave us the next step/mission lol Took a total of about 5 months (don't even know exact dates)
