Which DS-156 form to use?

I am trying to be proactive and get the paperwork done for our K3 visa while my case moves through to NVC and beyond. But I am slightly confused about the DS-156 form that we need to fill for the packet-3.

From the department of state's website i get this link https://evisaforms.state.gov/.

1) it is an odd kind of electronic form that i guess will be printable after you fill it? Is that the right form ?

2) this form says EXPIRES 9/30/2007, so is allready expired and I couldnt find a new one (unless i am looking at the wrong form)

3) is the DS-156K also required for K3, i remember reading something to that effect here at VJ?

The requirements are specific to the embassy/consular office you go through. You can try the embassy website to see their requirements. We went through Manila, where the 156k is used for K-1, but not for k-3. I wouldn't worry too much about form expiration dates, they are generally good about posting new versions as they are available. The electronic 156 does have to be filled online. When it is completed, a pdf is generated with a barcode. you can print it, and/or save the pdf file if you want to email or print later.
