Maybe someone can give me an answer on this? I called the NVC on September 26th to inquire as to case status. The operator told me the paperwork was forwarded to a supervisor for review on September 17th, because the case had sat in a mail pile since August 13th. I called today 10-25-07 and was told the DS-230 was forwarded for review on 10-16-2007 because it had not been reviewed! They recieved DS-230 on September 25th. Is this normal for the NVC? Also is the DS-230 the last document they will need before the case is completed?

YES! I believe this is perfectly normal. It generally takes a few months for them to process your papers since a lot of previous applications may have the priority over you. Unless they have misplaced your paperwork but until then you really have nothing to worry about. How long has it been since you filed your visa application? It would really help if you could compare people's timeline to yours. Just to see how long the process would take. I would assume that you are on the IR1 path?! Good luck!
