I am really confused here. I have got the IV Bill before the I-864 package. Does this sound normal? I was looking for the I-864 package and then for the IV-Bill.

Please help

Thanks

Don't be alarmed. Call NVC and find out if the I-864 has been generated yet? If so, when? Normally when the DS3032 is entered in the system, it will generate the IV bill soon after that. On the other hand, once the AOS fee bill is cleared and processed, that's when your I-864 is generated. And normally, it's the I-864 that we do receive first. Not sure what really happened here.

Hi,

The IV Bill and the I-864 are on two separate 'paths' at NVC, it will make more sense if you have a look at this NVC flowchart:

I agree I-864 and IV Bill are separate. But usually people get the I864 first. Also, I never received the NOA2. But I got the Agent nomination and AOS bill. SOmething weird going on.

I hear what you are saying and it's probably true - but it's also not an exact science. As natashenika mentioned, they got theirs in the same order you did.

As you can see from my timeline I got my I-864 only 1 day before my IV bill - could have easily arrived the same day etc - you get what I mean.

The NOA2 is sent from USCIS, rather than NVC - I've read quite a few posts from people who never received an NOA2 - seems to be a problem with USCIS lately.

As Rina mentioned, if you are at all concerned about not receiving your I-864, give the NVC a call and speak to an operator to confirm that they received your Affidavit of Support fee bill and that they have mailed the I-864.

Good luck!

Could it be that the NVC won't ask for I-864 ? or We have to call there to "remind" them to send it?

If you got the I-864 fee bill, you'll get the I-864 coversheet.

Note, NVC doesn't even actually send you a blank I-864 (you have to get that on your own from USCIS), they just send you a barcoded coversheet to send it in with. The IVR also doesn't tell you if they have sent you the I-864, you must speak with an operator to find out.

Hi,

I guess lots of goofing up is happpeneing.. Also please keep a watch on your mail man.. may be your missing some mail from the NVC.... and also talk to NVC people before sending the AOS fee. Use a Money order.. May be USPS and send the AOS fee billl thru USPS as they are the only one who deliver overnight mail on P O box address.

I hope this helps
