there's nothing wrong with continuing with the old country traditions, not at all.. but seems that some americans prefer to be some other nationality than their own.. when you ask someone what are you probly he's gonna say 'half irish 2/3ds german 1/9 thai' instead of, just American!.. and I think it's cool to be 'just American' because AMERICAn encompasses cultures from all around the world, not just 1 country, but everywhere!

Yeah, I see what you mean, and most likely someday when we are all waterdown to "sameness", people will just say American and everyone will be happy with that because it WILL be rediculous to say 1/20th this, that, and the other, etc . We just haven't moved enough generations beyond having had parents and grandparents who immigrated here. Older nations who are hundreds and hundreds of years older than the US can do that with much greater ease, IMO. In my lifetime, I don't know that I'll ever want to give up that little bit I have that ties me to another place.... *shrug*.... I guess I'll be even more confused when I move to the UK and I won't be considered British most likely....

And what happens when there are no more "culture days", no more ethnic pride celebrations, and all of the great ethnic influences are gone...? Well that's sad to me.

maybe then we'll finally get around to celebrating unity instead of diversity.........

scary thought... I find it sad not to love diversity. I love what makes us different, part of which is our cultural influences. To wish them all away, to me, gives me a vision of watered down-ness.

Pardon me, I have read some of your responses that were not loving at all. Towards diverse opinion that didnt agree with yours.

ok, whatever... you aren't going to goad me...

I guess we'll never know. Any research that purports to test such theories will

never see the light of day in our PC society.

Intelligence is genetic and hereditary to some extent, that much is clear.

Identical twins are more likely to obtain the same IQ score than twins from

two separate eggs that have a different genetic makeup.

There are huge genetic differences between races, as well within races, and it's

not entirely a stretch to suggest that some races or groups within the same race

may be more intelligent (on average) than others due to these differences.

Yup. Political correctness is dumbing us all down.

Woohoo! Yet another one-liner from the OP. Debate... what's that?

...an olden wooden ship...LOL

That's all you got? What's more to say? Neither of you can give an honest answer. You're bound by political correctness. Sucks to be you.
