Im pretty sure that it depends on every individual case, but for me and my wife, they asked mainly to see proof of an ongoing relationshit, e.g. bank statements, joint insurance info, stuff like that. Baisically, if you are indeed holding a real relationship, you have nothing to worry about. The qustions they ask, you'll have the legit answers for. Just make sure that your wife answers some of the questions as well, don't do all the talking yourself. Hope that helps. Good luck!

We had interview in Jacksonville today. Quite painless. only had a few questions concerning the yes and no questions on the I-485 form. My wife and her 19 year yr old daughter were all interviewed together. Very relaxed atmosphere. Lady interviewer was very nice and respectful. Most of her concern was with financial support ,pictures and things of living together, such as lease and joint accounts and utility bills with both names. No complicated or trick questions. Just be prepared and relaxed and you will be fine. Thanks everyone on vj. This is an awesome site. Done now for 21 months.Phewwww. I will try to help anybody i can with the experience i have had here. Feel free to message me concerning anything. Thanks again all vjers.

You know what's weird, my husband and I finding ourselves doing things we'd never do just to make the immigration people happy. We don't take pictures, we'd keep separate bank accounts and I see no reason to put him on bills as it's an addition pain the butt I don't need right now. I know in the grander scheme of things, who cares. It's just frustrating that we have to put on a charade to prove our real relationship is real!
