Remembering...

*Being in Piazza Duomo, Firenze when Italy won the world cup in 2006...i get chills just thinking about it

*Napoli --- walking through the informal sector and having a 9 year old kid selling cigarettes yell at us 'due, due, va fa in culo!' this basically means, buy my cigarettes for two euros, or ** off! i love Napoli in all its glory...Napoli is also where my grandmother is from, so its very close to my heart

*Barcelona

*Amsterdam

*New Orleans --- Mardi Gras in 2004 & 2005

Dreaming of.....

*Albania (still never been!! im going for the interview, when that time comes)

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Did you get to go inside? When I was there in '05 the Chinese were not letting anyone go inside the Potala - they were hyper paranoid because Hu Jintao was coming to visit Lhasa and made all of these restrictions - all foreigners had to leave Lhasa one day before his arrival - there were tanks and PLA soldiers with guns all over the place and the Barkhor was deserted :o - in the end I wasn't complaining because it meant we could spend more time at Samye. :) During our brief stay in Lhasa we did get to go inside the Jokhang(the holiest temple in Tibetan Buddhism) so I was happy.
