My all-time favorite was exploring the Philippines. Of course I would also like to play a few course in Scotland but there are also lots of places in the good Ol U.S. of A that I want to see too. I have never been to the east coast so haven't experienced all that history so will certainly put that on my 'things to do list' when I retire.

Be sure to visit the east coast in the fall(preferably in October) and go someplace like Connecticut or Vermont so you can see the gorgeous fall colors.

Top 5 places I have been:

1. My nice, rural, untouched by technology village in the middle of nowhere (aka Tambokurugu, Ghana). It is one of the most peaceful places I have ever been.

2. The deserts of Saudi Arabia, hot but beautiful at the same time. Seeing Makkah and Madinah are also up there.

3. Addis Ababa, Ethiopia: been there a few times and explored the city. It is full of some amazing history.

4. Paris: spent the night there on a layover once, amazing

5. Lawrence, KS: where my alma mater (KU) is...I loved my years there, I miss it.

Top 5 places I want to go:

1. Morocco: I have been wanting to go FOREVER..can't wait until that happens

2. Australia: I love koalas and would love to see them up close and personal, and maybe a kangaroo or two

3. Seattle, WA: where I was born and I have not been back since I was 4

4. South Africa: particularly for the FIFA 2010 World Cup (Go Ghana!)

5. Any island with a beach. Will probably end up being Jamaica since my fiance is dying to go there.

lol....yuo will only se parrots and monkeys like this if you either go to the Zoo or to the jungle :P

Aww, don't spoil my dream!

There are plenty of monkeys in Nepal and on Mt. Emei(very aggressive and smart - they waited in ambush on the balcony outside our hotel room for us to come out in the morning) but I want to see wild parrots!!! The only ones I have seen were in Rewalsar- ringnecks like my avatar - very cool to see them roost in the trees on the cliff overlooking the lake.

I loved my Indian Ringneck parrot !! He was a character...very entertaining...

I've been to a number of places and I liked them all. If I had to pick 5:

St. Petersburg, Russia is so full of history and art.

I love Prague and Budapest - nice cities indeed

The Alps are impressive

Odd as it may seem, I enjoyed Helgoland - that little rock out there in the North Sea

Needless to say, Ethiopia was great. Very different and very interesting. Looking forward to head back over there next week. :D

One of those days, I'd like to see:

Alaska and / or Greenland

Australia and / or New Zealand

I'd sure like to explore more of Africa

Portugal - my brother went and says it's awesome

Greece and Turkey

Helgoland, been there too, that was cool. Just a little seasick getting there.

Yeah, that can easily happen if the sea is rough. It's a fun trip, though.

I took an old oyster boat to the Great Barrier Reef - it was fine going out, coming back it was 2 hours of hell at a 75 degree angle...

I keep thinking of more places - I don't know if they are top 5:

Iceland

I (L) Iceland. I ate whale & puffin there!
