Marwan,

I don't think filing your change of address will delay your case. We filled for AOS, AP, and EAD in July. We changed our address after my husband''s biometric appointment in August. It did not slow our case down. He got his AOS, AP, and EAD at the same time as other who filed in July.

I would recommend doing your AR-11 (alien change of address) online. It allows you to do 4 things at one time: (1) notify uscis that your address has changed and change your address for all of your pending cases (have your reciept numbers handy), (2) AOS, (3) EAD, & (4) AP.

After you complete the general change of address online, it will prompt you to enter your case number for any pending cases. Enter them one at a time and be sure to print or copy the confirmation number that is given after each case is updated. You will recieve confirmation via mail in 1-2 weeks that your address change has been procesed.

In addition to filing AR-11 online, the USC spouse will also need to file and mail in form I-865.

I also moved after biometrics while my case was still at MSC. I filed AR-11 online, updated all pending petitions and mailed in I-865 for my husband. I got confirmation by mail to my new address and everything went smoothly. EAD arrived at the new address as did my AOS interview letter. At the interview I made sure they had my new address on their physical paperwork. GC arrived at the correct address as well.

My husband moved from his last place 2 months before I arrived in the US, but we still live in the same city. Now we are sending the AOS papers and using our new address. What else should we do?? Call USCIS to change our address , fill out a form???

Thanks for the help!

Just fill out AR-11 online (I-865 not necessary since you haven't filed AOS yet). Some people do file their change of address prior to filing AOS and some people don't bother since USCIS will get their new address on the AOS paperwork.

Only have your sponsors who are moving to a new address need to submit the change of address form. So if you were sponsored by your spouse + someone else. You move with your spouse, and the other sponsor didn't move, then only your spouse needs to file.
