notarized copies

Is it safe to assume that you don't need notarized copies unless they specifically ask for them??

if you want to go around giving them the originals at the interview, you should obtain certified copies. I sent in certified copies from the start and didn't have to bring any to the interview after that so I had less to worry about.

The only thing I ever had notarized was the financial...I-134 for the visa and the 864 for the AOS

I didn't send in notarized copies of anything, but brought the originals to the interview just in case they wanted to make sure that the copies were real. They didn't even look at them...
