Best of wishes to you, Paul! If I'm not mistaken, London's approval rates are pretty high, so that's one positive thing. If my husband has to do one, it'll be through Athens/Rome, and that will really be the pits. Yechhh. So chin up and take care of yourself. There's a light at the end of this tunnel. :star:

Not all is lost. You can file a waiver and probably will get it if you prepare it well  . You can find very experinces/advice on how to file a waiver in this section at VJ, and also more at "www.immigrate2us.net". Here is the link: www.immigrate2us.net/forum/portal.php

Paul I'm sorry things did not go as well as planned. At least you were well prepared and now it will just be another few weeks of waiting. You will be with your loved one no matter what, very soon, and then it will be forever so hang in there (F)

Hey guys,

a few days back home makes the world of difference, I'm feeling much more up beat now and pretty postitive about the whole situation.

I'd just like to thank all the guys (including pax, munchkins, cassie and richie) for all their good words of support!

As fas as ktmman's word's......... well I don't think they deserve answering to be honest, I'm not quite sure what his problem is............. I will just say that I had researched whether a previous conviction I had was a CIMT, and had concluded that "in my opinion" it wasn't (from the US dept. of state's official guidelines)..... and so that gave me a glimmer of hope.

I hope my message did not come over as "woe is me, please I am more special than others"....... as that wasn't intended, it was wrote the next morning and feelings were still running high.

I know that there are many people out there that are in a much worse situation than me, and my thoughts and prayers go out to them all (see previous post from me about how much I respect them)........

thankfully idiotic comments like ones from the last poster are always in a minority on this forum........ best wishes to everyone else and thank you guys once again

:D

Good luck, Paul, and hopefully we'll be reading about your approval real soon and you'll be with your loved one(L)

Please keep this a positive forum. There's enough negativity out in the other forums to last a life time. I speak for myself, but since I've been on this site our visa journey doesn't seem so threatening. There's a light at the end of the tunnel. And I appreciate every response I've received. Thanks. We should just be nice to one another and be there for each other....good times or bad :yes: {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

Sorry you went through all that paul. I did the same a month ago. the initial sinking lasted a couple of days and its been a wobbly month. It makes us all the more determined though.

the worst part of giving the fingerprints was that pokey little room that can barely fit one person in, let alone another person, table, sink and the cleaners apparatus. you'd think they could afford a bit more space for that procedure.

July 2003 - Met online

Oct 2004 - Finally met in person ~ engaged

Nov 2004 - I-29 sent

Jan 2005 - Rejected. Wouldn't accept digital photgraphs as proof!!

Nov 11 05 - Packet 3 sent

Dec 12 05 - Packet 4 received

Jan 05 06 - K3 Interview London - rejected I-601 applied

Jan 13 06 - I-601 filed

March 25 06 - Odd letter arrives from Homeland Security granting the application...

March 31 06 - Email confirmation of approval! 11 weeks. Yippeeeee.....

April 03 06 - SMS pick passport up from home.
