I am so sorry that you have had to go through this loss of someone that you love. You have been blessed with a child though, and I hope you will stay strong for him/her. I know from experience that this is a hard time, and you should not feel embarassed by this. You did nothing wrong. Good luck to you in the future and take care of yourself. (F)

I am so sorry for you, these guys are good at what they do, :innocent: he might have not really taken in how much change this would be for him. I have heard countless storeis like this, myself have my own nightmere. :crying: So at least his family is on your side, he is a ######, looks like he was looking for a green card. I have heard that in Morocco they all are at the cafes looking for american women. They find one and they are in love and ready for marriage, only to come here, and later send for their real muslim wife. If you feel like talking just throw me a line, you are doing the right thing by warning others, that this does happen alot. I also had the young men tell me that they look for women that american men would not take so they feel they are deopserate.

I am feeling ya

I think it's pretty obvious that not ALL Moroccan males are at cyber cafes. A generalization is just that. It doesn't mean that there are not exceptions, but exceptions don't make a generalization less true.

To the OP, I'm sorry for what's happened. (F)

You've all made me cry with your kind words and support. There will be no reconciliation. I have a no contact order against him and I just got back from filing a report with my local USCIS office for the *obvious* reasons. I'm feeling a little bit stronger now. But it is minute to minute. Thank you to those who are offering prayers. That is the only thing getting me through each minute.

Dearest Sherry,

Do you think that Egyptian men aren't doing the same thing in Egypt? It's not just Morocco. Where did you hear that from?

And if you want butt honest truth, I have seen more Moroccans stay with their American wives and maintain good family ties with Americans than almost every other mena country I have met people from. You meet Moroccans married for 15 20 years to Americans with kids where I live. I cannot say the same for alot of other mena countries. And no I was not married to a Moroccan. I am married to an Algerian. I just like them and know many of them. You cannot generalise about a people. I will tell you something, Moroccans have all in all very good hearts and are very accepting of other cultures. I know some are scummy but there are lots of good ones in the USA....they are friendly and vibrant and multi cultural.. They are also more open than alot of other places

I plea the fifth and and I will refrain from saying anything about Palestinians....

Moroccans are a hell of a lot of fun to be around.

Open minded, great food, music.... happy atmosphere.

I will leave it at that. And I like them... so what?

I think at some point Jenn posted an ariticle about internet casanova's in Morocco, I can't find it now. That might be what HamdySherry is referring to.

However a Moroccan man (as wahrania just posted) is not more likely to stay in a marriage with an American woman than any other MENA man. It has nothing to do with the country they are from, it has to do with their intentions. I know Jordanian men that have also been married to American women for years and years and have big families as well, and I know some that were jerks and used their wives for greencards. There is good/bad in every country.

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.
