My fiance and I recently withdrew our K1 Visa application. I've read on this site that people have problems when trying to enter the U.S. while their K1 is being processed. Should I expect similar problems when crossing the border now that the application is withdrawn? If so, is there anything I can do to help myself get through the border? I'm getting pretty nervous about this, so any help and/or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You don't say why you cancelled your K-1 Visa. Is it because you're going to or have applied for another visa? Bring lots of proof of your ties to Canada. If you have a letter or correspondence, about the cancellation of the K-1 visa, bring that as well, just in case they ask you. I don't know where you were in your

process, so there may not be anything on the computer at Customs. I don't know that we've ever determined that they have information on the computer about our status anyway. If you've applied for another visa, bring copies of that process perhaps.

I think the main thing, no matter where or what visa you are applying for, or not applying for, is to remember to bring evidence of your ties to Canada. Letter from employer, utility statements, rental or lease agreements, etc.
