 I heard a rumor that the department of state was sooooo much faster, but....we recived approval 3 weeks ago and not a peep...automated NVC guy says they have no record of our file and then asks if I want to hear that in Spanish.

Anyone else stuck after the NOA2? Any luck with calling a live person even though automated guy says "stop calling we don't know who the heck you are"?!!

Our time line:

06.10.05 - fell in love in Hawaii

06.14.06 - met his family in Germany

03.15.07 - engaged

04.31.07 - sent in 129f

06.05.07 - recieved by CSC

08.20.07 - called because NOA 1 never recieved

09.27.07 - NOA 1 recieved

10.03.07 - visa approved

10.06.07 - my fiance goes back to Germany

10.11.07 - NOA 2 recieved in mail

11.11.07 - going to see my love in Germany!!!

11.12.07 - packet one recieved in Germany (same day I arrive, woo hoo!)

11.13.07 - sent packet one back express one day delivery

11.23.07 - packet two arrived with interview date!! (day before I left, woo hoo!)

It's not uncommon to get stuck in the NVC for weeks after NOA2. My Fiance, now my wife, had her approved petition held in NVC for "administrative processing" for about 4 weeks. I called them once a week and asked the status, but could never get much information. I did manage to get a nice gentleman one time that told me it's just normal processing and not to worry. I was told just to wait it out. I think the phone number is in Sheriff Uling's K-1 Visa Guide (a must read for everyone in this process) if you want to try and call also. Unless you hear that there is a problem beyond "administrative processing", I would not worry. Be patient and good luck!

I heard that the reason for the delay at NVC was that the petitions werent being sent because of a problem with the trucking contractor. So the petitions were sitting until they got another one. dont know if its true but it sounds like the government.

probably will take an act of congress to approve the new trucking company since its legal government documents they will be hauling.

We´re in the same status. We have received the approval since september 28 and my boyfriend called the last week to the NVC but nothing yet. It´s almost 3 and a half weeks... So, we continue waiting and waiting and worried. Good luck.

It is faster for K-1s, that is when your case is actually received. It took my case almost 5 weeks to be officially received, but once there, it was in a out in 2 days. K-1s will never show up in the automated system, because they just don't stay there long enough. Even after I had my NVC case number, I tried entering it in the automated system, and they still said they had no record of it. There's another whole forum about this subject on the K-1 subforum. A lot of people with approvals from CSC from the end of August on have had to wait at least a month for their cases to make it to NVC.
