Well, I am getting ready to go to Viet nam again in November. This will be my 3rd trip there in 8 months time. The last time I was there was from July 22nd until September 10. My first trip was in March and we were there for 2 and a half weeks. We had the engagement ceremony then and my Father who is a Viet nam war veteran accompanied me to Viet nam and attended the ceremony along with my Fiance's parents. I was introduced to my Fiance through her Aunt who is Viet namese and she lived next door to me for 12 years. That is the only problem that I foresee. I hope everything goes well for us on November 26, 2007. I think that honesty is the only way to go and we will not lie about anything and anything and everything that she can tell them can be backed on notarized paper. My income is also very good and there will not be an issue with that. I am excited and have been working very hard to prepare everything for my lovely wife to be to come home with me!! Wish us all luck and this website is great for everyone going through the process. GOD BE WITH US AND BLESS US WHEN WE NEED HIM!!!!

Had to make an Info Pass appointment because there was a delay in receiving the NOA for our I-751. Never found out the reason for the delay but they gave Thao a 1 year green card stamp in her passport and we got a the NOA 2 days later.

Yeah, good luck. A trick I did to help insure my wife's passing, was I wrote a letter to the consular, and put it on the very front of all her paper work that she was to turn in. The letter pretty much stated how she will live, work and be supported in America, the indroduction of ourselves and that I was outside awaiting the outcome and was prepared to fight any negative decision. See, if you're not there, she has no defense...she can't reenter the consulate as you can. They'll fail her for something dumb and it's TS for her. Let them know you're there.

OUTSTANDING! Looks like it took about 1 month 2 weeks from packet 3 to packet four and then a month until the interview. I've submitted packet 3 about 1 month and a week ago so if it continues to follow suit i might see packet 4 before i leave for the US in a couple weeks. Maybe my girl will be spending christmas in america??? how great would that be!

...waiting...

3-04-09 - Had to renew the EAD :(

3-04-09 - Got annoyed at being outside of the processing window

3-04-09 - Called and they confirmed. Will contact me within 45 days.

3-05-09 - Date on the EAD NOA1

3-12-09 - Received a confirmation email that I am outside of the window and will get a decision in 60 days.

5-09-09 - Randomly received the renewed EAD Card... w/ wrong A# :(.
