NVC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everybody,

Today i found out that my I-129F petition has been approved by the california processing center, and by what i see now it will be sent to the NVC? Who are they, what do they do , and how long do they take to do their job. Will i need any additional information, money or forms? What is the number where i can contact them directly to find out the status, can i check it online like i did at USCIS. How long does it take USCIS take to send it to them. Please help me, this procees has just been insane. it feels like its been an eternity. Thank you in advance for your much needed help it's greatly appreciated.

The NVC is the National Visa Center where they process all petitions that are approved by the USCIS. It takes roughly 4 weeks for your paperwork to be transferred to them, so you gotta be patient. Since you're going for a K1 visa, your case will not be there for long since they will forward it to the embassy for an interview appointment. But you should call them to find out the date of when it will be mailed out, they will also give you a case #.

NVC is National Visa Centre, it does all administrative and processing work of your immigrant petition file. You have to pay them fees as and when they ask. The NVC will get in touch with you through mail when it wants you to fill out forms aor pay them fees. You can call them om 603-334-0700...talk to a live operator for any doubts and questions. NVC works from Mon to Friday . So only 20 days a month if there are no other public holidays.
