I've actually been to Rwanda...spend the summer in Kigali working. As far as the issue of Western Sahara goes, I've worked really hard to find my way to the answer on that question. What helped most was the conversations I had with the Saharawi one on one.

Here is an interestinng article about a girl named Sultana....

I am sure you probably already read about this

Actually I was in Rwanda before the Genocide. My host family was able to get out unharmed and I did see them in Paris in 1999, but there were others i knew whom I have never heard from again.

What an amazing story? I have seen alot inside Algeria that really just made my blood run cold....you meet a family or a guy whos aunt was murdered by islamist teenagers and then her pregnant body booby trapped while the 19 year olds beat up her husband and then slice her body open....The teenagers did not even have a good reason why they did it... just to kill.....Lots of stories. I lived my own hell for years and years and I identify tremendously with victims of these years....when your life is beaten out of you, whats left behind is not always in one piece...

I am sure you were very moved by HOTEL RWANDA..

I get very upset even inside Algeria when I meet people who seem like they lost part of themselves....One guy watched his brother be shot in the face by a young islamist just because he was listening to music in his car... I think the islamist ended up disappearing later when the security forces went and picked him up... very very sad and lonely time....
