I received our Interview notice, here in the US, but my wife has not received her packet yet. And our Interview is scheduled of Nov 9. the notice provides a website detailing instruction uctions; "http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html" and we've reviewed all the pages plus links.

However, there was no mention as to "If we must wait for her to receive the packet in the Philippines" before proceeding with the Medical and Embassy Interviews. And she lives 10 hours from Manila so it is not possible to run back and forth.

"The website mentions that the medical interview must be executed at least 10 days prior to the embassy interview, is this true?" She has no record of vaccination shots so might this stage of the process take longer? And she is pregnant so she will need the doctors letter indicating she should not under go xrays or certain types of vaccinations?

Will her packet contain forms she must fill out and take with her to the Medical Exam and Embassy Interview? Does she have to wait for these documents before she can call and make a medical appointment?

The NVC Call Ceter docs say it can not offer advice just provide confirmation of an appointment.

It is crazy! The timeframe has been so slow upto now. And now the interview is so close and she has not received her packet to start getting ready for the interview.

The notice gives a list of documents required by the NVC and indicates they have received them all except for my IRS Returns--I filed for an extension. Thanks to Visa Journey friends I've worked through the IRS Issue and sent her reproducible copies over the internet that she can print there.

Basically the notice says; Bring the following to the visa interview:

* Any original documents that were required by the NVC but were not submitted to the NVC.

* The medical examination results if not submitted to the Embassy/Consulate by the physician.

* The correct size and number of photographs.

* Valid passport for all traveling applicants.

The following table lists the documents requested by the NVC and whether or not the NVC received them. Please note that even though the applicant may have provided the NVC with a copy of a document, the applicant is still required to bring the original document to the visa interview.

You need to contact the Embassy not the NVC. Tell your wife to contact the U.S. Embassy, there should be an email or telephone on the website of the US consulate in Philippines, maybe they sent the package and she never received it.

She'll need to present the appointment letter for the Medical Exam and for the interview as well, so she does need to have those documents.

Once the case is forwarded to the Embassy, you need to address all your questions and comments to them not to the NVC. Even the NVC notice says.. "for further information contact the local embassy".

I also have responded on your previous post

and here's all the answers on this post...

Your wife will receive the same Packet 4- Interview Date as the one that you did. You can scan this packet and email it to your wife so she can take this with her and go for her early medical at SLEC. Given the interview date, I suggest to go as soon as you can. I have given you the links above that you need to read through.

"The website mentions that the medical interview must be executed at least 10 days prior to the embassy interview, is this true?"
Suggested is 2 weeks before just in case they will require her for further medical testing.

She has no record of vaccination shots so might this stage of the process take longer? And she is pregnant so she will need the doctors letter indicating she should not under go xrays or certain types of vaccinations?

Given her condition, the doctors and nurses will be able to give her a waiver. Just make them aware of her pregnancy.

Will her packet contain forms she must fill out and take with her to the Medical Exam and Embassy Interview? Does she have to wait for these documents before she can call and make a medical appointment?

She can go now if you scan and email the packet 4, or the information that you have obtained from the IV site for interview and medical dates.

The NVC Call Ceter docs say it can not offer advice just provide confirmation of an appointment.

It is crazy! The timeframe has been so slow upto now. And now the interview is so close and she has not received her packet to start getting ready for the interview.

NVC will nto help you now since your case is with USEM- Philippines consulate and it is in their jurisdiction now.

Make sure to bring that with her at the time of the interview.

Don't worry with the OF-169, and the 230-I and 230-II since you have already submitted them with USCIS and NVC
