I mismanaged my account and my check bounced.:unsure::blink: I sent money in August 18, it was cashed 3 days later and then sent back for insufficient funds. I sent the correct funds and that was cashed about August 26 or so. Although the check was cashed in August, I got the following letter. Does this mean that I am now on a 6 month time span again? I already received the N0A1 before notice that it was suspended. I think its B.S. that they held on to my money for 2 months and are saying that they just received it. I am not so sure how to interpret the part in bold.

I am surprised that they didn't send the entire package back to you. I really can't see why you would expect them to do something different than what they have done.

If they would have sent it back to me, that would have been great. Because they would have received the money 3 days later with a new packet.

What bugs me is that they received and CASHED the correct funds 3 days later on about August 26th or so and then tell me that they just received the funds on October 22 and I am no longer in suspension. I could have used the 485 bucks (+/- 40 late fee) over the last 8 weeks.

There may be a lesson in this somewhere for you but I'm pretty sure it isn't a lesson in how to complain and blame others for the consequences of your mistakes.

I was just asking a question, does it mean another 6 weeks or so. I didn't like the fact that they held on to the money and don't think its correct. But that is a matter of opinion. Anyway the problem with funds has been corrected. My fiance no longer has access to that account and will call me the same day that she uses any funds.

It means they will treat your case as if its receipt date was as they stated. You are starting from that date. Yes, it sucks. For what it's worth, I don't think the "held on" to your money. It's a big place and it takes time to marry a payment to a petition in a file or on a desk someplace.

I was just asking a question, does it mean another 6 weeks or so from the October date, or the date that they cashed my check wich was back in August. Since no one answered my question, I will assume from the tone of the responses that I did receive, that it mean that all the filers prior to October 22 are now ahead of me. Thank you for your responses.

I guess what I expected was a 1 or two week delay considering that they received and cashed the payment within 3-4 days later. Pardon me if that makes me a complainer and blamer.

Anyway the problem with funds has been corrected. My fiance no longer has access to that account and will call me the same day that she uses any funds.

Thanks,

I figured as much. Its not a big deal, gives me more time for planning and preperation for arrival, gathering of proof of contact etc. I guess I couldn't believe that the check could be cashed so fast in such a big place and then just sit around. On the other hand, check cashing doesn't require any scrutiny or analysis, so it makes sense that it is done quickly.

But 2 months to release a suspension, when it only took about 2 weeks to give out the suspension didn't make sense to me. I guess, if it goes into a general problem box (and not a hold for check box), then I have to wait until they get to my particular problem, then they resolve it. No more complaints. thanks for the help.
