I had 87 days to send off my RFE and it took me about half the time to get the papers ready... well, 1 week after they got them my case showed up online saying Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed so yeah, getting one puts you farther back in processing line, especially when it takes you for ever to send it back like it did me...

We received an RFE for AOS and sent our response the next day. Our last touch said they received our response and case processing has resumed. Since then, we have received AP and EAD has been ordered, but no recent touches on AOS.

I received an RFE for my AOS and mailed it back a week later. It arrived at the PO Box on the 13th Oct. I could finally track my I-485 online on the 17th, and that said Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed also. It was last touched on the 18th.

Does one get a written acknowledgment that the evidence was received?

If not, how does one know whether the evidence was received?

Thanks.

Checking online is the only way I know of. Or InfoPass appointment. The toll free number wont be able to help.

that doesn't mean anything. We did that too and I got an RFE for a new medical that they probably lost, cuz my brazilian medical was supposed to be valid for a year and they requested before a year. They are very disorganized. You can do your best and they'll still find a way to screw you.

And I got RFE'd for things that don't even appear in the 'official' documentation or any guide (it's like a special surprise haha)
