Receipt Number: EAC**********

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On October 22, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at

We received our electronic notice of NOA1 on September 27th, the same day our cheque was cashed, and received the hard copy of it on October 1st.

According to everything I've seen of a NOA2, this is it. I'm not really sure why USCIS would send us two electronic notifications 28 days apart for the same thing, so I sincerely doubt it's a repeat of our NOA1, especially since an NOA1 is the receipt, and the NOA2 is your approval - you can clearly see that the e-mail was for an approval of the I-129F petition.

To all the people who are hurt and/or angry by this, I'm sorry, and I hope the process moves much faster for you.

All I can personally say is that I never expected it to happen so fast.

edit: In response to previous posts, we did not get or ask for any expediate process, nor are there any extenuating circumstances to our case.

When you say "electronic notifice" what exactly are you referring to? An email? You said that you received 2 electronic notifications 28 days apart. The second one was an email because you copied it here. Was the first one an email also? I never heard of anyone getting an email notification of an NOA1.

The first was not an e-mail - when our cheque was cashed, I entered our case number into the egov system, registered, and there was the NOA1 already in the system. We received the hard copy of that 4 days later. This time, it was an e-mail (actually, two received at the same time), and when I logged onto egov, our case file had been updated and was showing the NOA2, which had the same wording as the e-mail.

Thanks to you and everyone else that's congratulated us so far!

To second what Carly's already said, neither of us are military, this is indeed for real, and we certainly didn't do anything out of the ordinary (that we know of) to expedite the process.

We're both very more than thrilled to have recieved our notices so quickly, and my heart honestly goes out to those that are still waiting for approval. Though our application has taken only a month and change so far, it's been a long two and a half years even waiting to file those papers, so I can most certainly sympathize with the heartbreak and breathless anticipation that can accompany such a lengthy and uncertain separation from one that you love. My thoughts and prayers are certainly with you!

In case anyone wasn't sure, I'm the "Evan" half of Evan and Carly!

Evan and Carly,

I think that is absolutely amazing! It sounds like it's legit, and it's the real deal! I hope it is, and I am sure it is as well! As far as people being upset with you, that's ridiculous if they are, but I don't think anyone is. Jealous? OH YEA. I am JUST starting to get ready to send my I-129f petition into the USCIS. I can only HOPE and pray to EVERYTHING and anything out there that it goes as quickly as yours. I am going in January to spend another three months with my girlfriend, and hopefully that should (knock on wood) help pass some of the time before the interview, etc.

If anything your situation gives some of us hope out there. I know it's rare to have something approves so quickly like that, but I think it's unbelievably amazing, and although jealous I am so happy for you guys. I think that's amazing and I wish you guys the BEST of luck on the rest of your "journey"!

Good luck and take care guys!

-Devan

P.S. CONGRAGULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:yes::dance:
