How About a Citizens' Strike? "...I think it’s time that we actual-and-verifiable citizens took to the streets-or just stayed home-to show our Senators how a "National Day Without Citizens" would impact the country. There are more of us than there are "them". Immigration (that's legal immigration) is not a right. It's a privilege..."

Remain home from work, using vacation, leave, sick time or whatever is available to you.

Take no public transportation. Transact no business.

Make no purchases. Consider turning off your TV, radio and computers.

For one day, make no contribution to the economy of the nation.

For one day focus on the home, family, books etc.

Why would we boycott everything on Mexican holidays? To hurt the US economy? And how exactly would that make appoint against illegal immigrants?

Pick one city in Mexico and quit going there. Like Cancun... it is a man-made city for gringos.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

I have never understood this concept anyway. So you don't buy anything tomorrow. You just buy it the next day or the next. It's not like you just decide not to buy what you needed that day and never buy it. Just like when they tell people not to buy gas on a certain day. You still need gas so you still have to buy it sometime.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

Right. It's a stupid idea.

Can I pick a city I'd never go to anyway?
