Had our A.O.S. in July 2005 approved pending F.B.I. background check now 7 months later still no green card. No common name, no police record, no nothing. Nothing no raise a red flag at all. The visa expires in 5 months on our K-3 I was told it does not matter if it expires because we have started our adjustment of status process. Is this true? anybody know for 100% sure? thanks....

Have you contacted elected official to help you and follow up with USCIS on behalf of you to find the status on name check?

Nothing to raise a 'red flag' that you know about.... But, it may very well be that the request for your check is lying dormant somewhere at the FBI, or the FBI's response is lying dormant somewhere at the USCIS - it sometimes happens.

The expiration of your K3 visa matters only if you wish to travel outside the USA, same consequences that our K1 bretheren are familiar with.
