K-1/K-2 VISA'S APPROVED IN MONTREAL MAY 2, 2005

K-1/K-2 AOS APPROVED IN ATLANTA MAY 17, 2006

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

I-485 , I-765, I-130: NOA1 : 1/23/2006

Biometrics 2/23/2006

Temporary EAD given for 1 month ONLY b/c of Infopass appt: 5/1/2006

Went back to renew EAD through Infopass: EAD card was not given "due to reasons we can't disclose"

5/3/2007: Confirmation that EAD is delayed due to background checks. (started to use the senator, ombudsman and was just a royal pain in the neck)

5/30/2007: EAD production ordered (after over 400 days of waiting!!! woo hoo!)

AOS Interview: 5/12/2008!!! FINALLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7/29/2008: card production ordered...918 days..can't wait to see that card!

I got the email this morning - They have sent my welcome notice.

Only took them two years four months!!!!

Good lord i cant even tell you how excited i was i nearly fell off my perch.

Congratulations! i cant believe your ordeal. you have been married for two years already so that means you could already apply immediately for lifting of conditions or wait again? :unsure:

Congratulations! But...my GOD! :o The wait time is deplorable! I'd be curious to know just exactly how many human hours were spent on clearing your SO's name? I'm wondering if this is anything like those who found themselves on the 'no-fly' list?

Sadly, FBI namecheck hold-ups aren't all that unusual. I imagine that being on the no-fly list would be more nightmarish (if you fly, that is)!

March 7, 2005: I-129F NOA1

September 20, 2005: K-1 Interview in London. Visa received shortly thereafter.

AOS

December 30, 2005: I-485 received by USCIS

May 5, 2006: Interview at Phoenix district office. Approval pending FBI background check clearance. AOS finally approved almost two years later: February 14, 2008.

Received 10-year green card February 28, 2008

my husband is on the no-fly list, which sucks as he is usually flying 3 trips a month for work. Its not really nightmarish, more of a nasty inconvenience for those who fly often.
